It's officially the holiday season the the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department is presenting free family fun Wednesday, December 12 in Duluth.

Everyone is invited to skate with Santa and Rudolph from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the Essentia Duluth Heritage Center, located at 120 South 30th Avenue West.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Not only will there be ice skating, but your family can also enjoy holiday music, cookie decorating, holiday crafts, winter science demonstrations and drawing for prizes.

No registration is required to attend and all participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate for our local food shelf.  Every donation you bring will earn an extra ticket for the drawing, so it's really a win-win proposition to bring as many non-perishable food items as you can.

You could make a night of it and head to Bentleyville after the skating party.  Generally, Wednesdays at the attraction are not overly crowded.  Make sure to print off the scavenger hunt before you go.
