Evening Owl Program This Saturday at Hawk Ridge
The staff at Hawk Ridge don't just work during the day, the nights have opportunities for research and education as well. A bird usually associated with the night and also one I think is in line with Halloween season is the Owl.
The Hawk Ridge Observatory is hosting an "Evening Owl Program" to help people learn about owl research methods and also how to identify some of the species that live in Northern Minnesota. While there is only a small cost of $5 to attend this program, pre-registration is required as it's limited to only a group of 45 people. The program is also weather dependent and could be changed to an indoor off site location which Hawk Ridge would notify attendees of before the event begins.
If you would like more information on registering for this event, you can get that here. The date is this Saturday, the 13th at 8PM and it will take place at Hawk Ridge Observatory located at 3980 East Skyline Parkway in Duluth, MN.
