Duluth’s Lake Superior Zoo Hosting Mother’s Day Craft + Plant Sale
If you're looking for something fun to do on Mother's Day, the Lake Superior Zoo in Duluth is once again hosting its Mother's Day Craft and Plant Sale. It's a great way to spend some family time together in a fun environment.
The sale is taking place on Mother's Day, May 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the front apron/parking lot.
Because the craft and plant sale takes place in the parking lot area, you do not need to purchase a Lake Superior Zoo admission ticket to shop. However, since you're already there with your family, why not make a day of it and also venture into the zoo to visit all the animals?
The zoo is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Ticket prices for the general public are $16.00 for adults 13+ and $10.00 for children 3-12, while children 2 and under are admitted free.
The Lake Superior Zoo also notes that while they already have vendors lined up, they still have room for more. Any vendors interested in participating in the sale are encouraged to e-mail their Event Coordinator, Elizabeth Androsky at eandrosky@lszoo.org for details and to sign up.
The Lake Superior Zoo, located at 7210 Fremont Street, has a stated mission to "provide close-up animal experiences that inspire connections with wildlife and action towards conservation in our region and around the world."
It is the only zoo in Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin. As the 19th oldest Zoo in the United States, they have a rich history of providing close-up animal experiences for all visitors.
