It's hard to beat live music in the summer, especially when enjoyed in a beautifully unique setting. That's just what Duluth's Glensheen Mansion provides every Wednesday evening with their Concerts On The Pier concert series.

On Friday, June 17, Glensheen announced the 2022 lineup for what they call "Duluth’s premier summer concert series on the water." According to organizers, the 2022 Concerts On The Pier lineup includes 9 bands, covering a variety of genres.

The series begins Wednesday, July 6, with Hermantown singer/songwriter Rafe Carlson. Here's the complete 2022 lineup:

  • July 6 - Rafe Carlson
  • July 13 - Breanne Marie & The Front Porch Sinners
  • July 20 - Superior Siren
  • July 27 - Damien (feat. Marc Gartman)
  • August 3 - Annie Mack
  • August 10 - The Bill and Kate Isles Band
  • August 17 - Teague Alexy & The Common Thread
  • August 24 - Boxcar
  • August 31 - JoJo Green

The event runs each Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with music starting at 7:00 p.m. The Concerts On The Pier concert series is free and open to the public.

Not only is there music in a terrific setting but there will be craft beers & N/A drinks, a local food truck, lawn games, a lakeside campfire, and local-favorite Love Creamery ice cream will also be available.

What's especially cool is that not only can you bring a lawn chair and blanket to enjoy the event from the shore at Glensheen, but guests are also encouraged to paddle or boat in to view the concert from the water. Everyone should plan to arrive early to get a great spot.

Organizers note that Chester and Clara Congdon loved to highlight local makers and artists in our own state, so in their tradition, the vast majority of the artists in our lineup are from Minnesota and Duluth.
