Duluth’s Fourth Fest Celebration Features Plenty of Live Music
Bayfront Festival Park will once again be the place to go in Duluth to celebrate the 4th of July. Duluth Fourth Fest promises plenty of live music and the best view of the fireworks.
The gates open July 4 at 4:00 p.m. The music starts at 4:30 p.m., with following bands scheduled to perform:
- 4:30 p.m. – Born Too Late
- 5:50 p.m. – The Slamming Doors
- 7:10 p.m. – Superior Siren
- 8:45 p.m. – Junk FM. Junk FM sounds like a lot of fun. They play "genre-bending mashups and juxtaposing styles. From Garth Brooks to Lady Gaga in one slamming step, simultaneous Eminem and Green Day, Cee Lo Green meets Rod Stewart all while stealing your drink".
The fireworks display will follow, at 10:10 p.m.
Admission into the Fourth Fest celebration is free and all attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets.
Keep in mind that no bottles, outside food, coolers, weapons or animals are allowed at Bayfront Park. One empty water bottle per patron will be permitted. Water stations are located inside the park across from portable restroom units. There will be plenty of food, beverage and craft vendors on site.
Limited parking will be available at the DECC parking ramp, the Great Lakes Aquarium lot and in parking lots on Railroad Street west of Fifth Avenue West.
The Minnesota Slip Bridge will be lowered and closed to marine traffic from 8:00 p.m. to 11 p.m. The Aerial Lift Bridge will stay down and be closed to marine traffic from 7 p.m. until midnight.
