New Distillery And Tasting Room Opening In Lincoln Park
I cannot wait for this! An amazing new business is moving into Lincoln Park and I have a feeling you are all going to be just as excited about it as I am.
The Duluth Whiskey Project will be opening in the On The Limit location, at 2224 West Superior Street. On The Limit is still located in the building as well, co-located with the Duluth Whiskey Project.
The Duluth Whiskey Project has rented the front of the building from On The Limit, which had been the showroom and office space of their screen printing and embroidery business. On The Limit remodeled the back half of the building and now has been reconfigured to fit into that new space.
The new distillery and tasting room will be a great addition to the area! By the sounds of it, this is going to be a one-of-a-kind spot.
As of now, the business is on pace for a September or October opening. We will keep you updated when an official grand opening date is revealed.
What Is The Duluth Whiskey Project?
Kevin Evans, CEO and distiller for the Duluth Whiskey Project, moved to Duluth a decade ago with his family from the Twin Cities. He worked with Vikre to get started in July of 2013, helping to build out their distillery.

He says that he learned a ton during his time there, even making his own bourbon there about six and a half years ago. Now, he says the bourbon is maturing, making this the perfect time to get started with this new venture.
Customers can buy K. Evans Bourbon in limited quantities when the distillery and tasting room opens. Evans also launched a brand of vodka called UffDa Vodka and UffDa Rum, which will also be available at the tasting room in the future.
About The Space
The new space sounds incredible, with plans for a cocktail room filled with 102 seats. Evans told me it will be about eighty-percent whiskey lounge and the other twenty-percent will be a sports bar aesthetic.
