This was something we knew was possible, but the best news is that the forecast is calling for even better weather into the weekend.

With a few more hours of sunshine to go, Duluth already has set a record high temperature for today's date.

At 3 p.m. it was 66 degrees at the Duluth International Airport. The old record was 60 degrees, set in 1902. The average high for March 14 is 33 degrees.

It's a lot cooler down by the lake, though. Sky Harbor Airport reported a temperature of just 45 degrees at 3:30 p.m.
