Two vehicle thefts have occurred that has the Duluth Police Department thinking they may be related.  The incidents were reported in November and December of last year.  After investigation they are seeing some similarities have moved forward in asking for the public's help to lead them to the suspects.

According to the Duluth Police Department's press release, the first one took place in the early morning hours of November 18, 2014. The suspects were driving a light colored SUV and went to the Sinnott Blacktop parking lot on Birch Avenue in the Port Terminal Drive area. It is believed that they prowled around the yard and attempted to steal gas from storage tanks on the property. They also stole a white 1997 Chevy pickup/work truck which was found later that morning on West 10th Street in the antenna farm area.

The next incident was on December 20, 2014, Duluth Police were told of suspicious activity in the area of West Superior and Carlton Street. They located two sets of footprints in the parking lots of Maney International, Como Oil, and United Products leading up to the gas tanks on the trucks.  One lead they have is the possibility of a suspect's vehicle.  It appears to be an older green F150 with WI license plates that was parked in the area.
