Minnesota + Wisconsin Bloody Mary Lovers! Bloody Bash Coming Back At Skyline Social + Games
Last summer was the inaugural year of the Bloody Bash Bash On The Hill at Skyline Social & Games. The event featured a variety of area bars and restaurants competing to win in one of two categories: Best Tasting Bloody Mary and Best Presenting Bloody Mary.
The 2022 winner of the taste category was McKenzies Bar & Grill, while Pike Lake Golf & Beach Club took home the top prize in the presentation category. Winners are determined by event attendees who cast their votes throughout the day.
Most importantly, the event raised over $18,560 dollars for Never Surrender Inc. to help fund the fight against ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). The money goes to people in the Northland area who are fighting against ALS and to cure the disease.
Great news arrived recently when Skyline Social & Games, along with Townsquare Media, announced that the event would return this summer and it promises to be bigger and better than ever!
The 2023 Bloody Bash is set for Sunday, August 6 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Skyline Social & Games, located at 4894 Miller Trunk Highway in Duluth. The event, which will be held rain or shine, will feature live music and it will once again serve as a fundraiser for Never Surrender Inc.
Renamed the Bloody Bash, the event will once again bring together many area bars and restaurants. It will also bring together several breweries as another change, besides the name, is that in 2023 there will be 3 competition categories:
- Best Tasting Bloody Mary
- Best Presented Bloody Mary
- Best Beer Snit or Chaser
Skyline Social & Games event manager Rebecca Martin is excited that the event is growing by adding the third category for breweries. She also notes that there will be an additional 5 restaurants in the contest. The 2023 lineup includes:

- McKenzie’s Bar & Grill
- Outback Steakhouse
- Pike Lake Golf & Beach

It's a sweet moment when you can witness an entire community come together from guests to restaurants, and even breweries all in one place to have fun, but also work together to help fund the fight against ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Last year, we raised over $18,000 and we have set a goal this year to raise over $30,000. Advance tickets for the 2023 Bloody Bash are on sale now through August 5. Tickets are $25 in advance and they will be $35 at the door.
Each ticket includes a Bloody Mary sample from each bar & restaurant, beer snit samples from each brewery, and live music from The Northwood's Band. Last year almost sold out, so it would be wise to get your tickets right away so you don't miss out on a fun and tasty afternoon that raises money for a fantastic cause.
