Earlier last year the Postmaster General said that the mail processing center in Duluth was not going to be closed.  Unfortunately, it appears that closing is now a very real possibility.

The Northland's News Center is reporting that the US Postal Service notified union members on Tuesday that the Duluth mail processing center could close as soon June or July, or as late as February of 2014.

Just under 100 workers will lose their jobs, according to Todd Fawcett, President of the local American Postal Workers Union.
