In the spirit of giving back to the community, the Duluth Huskies are again offering a grant called "Share The Glove".

The Duluth Huskies have started to accept applications for the grant, which is part of the Northwoods League Foundation. The foundation will distribute more than $55,000 in softball and baseball equipment using the "Share The Glove" grant this Spring. The goal is to help children and families in the Northwoods League communities.

This year 22 equipment grants will be awarded to youth softball and baseball organizations in the community. It is the hope that the game of baseball and softball can be enjoyed by everyone and that it is not based on whether a family can afford it or not. To help kids learn the game and enjoy it without the stress of missing out because their family couldn't get the equipment that the child or the community needed to play. The hope is to inspire those kids to give back when they get older.
