In the wake of the announcement that Chipotle is coming to the Northland, another national brand has announced that it also believes in the growth of our community as Kolar announced an exciting addition to their lineup.

Kolar Chevrolet Buick GMC added Cadillac to their successful dealership group on November 6th. They believe the Cadillac brand will be a sterling addition to the dealership group and the community.

“The excitement level when we announced it and drove a Cadillac into the showroom was unbelievable. It was quite a sight when I brought it in,” said Peter Kolar. “Cadillac is on a roll coming out with new and exciting cars and we’re very, very excited to have them.”

Kolar has been a member of the community since 1968, with a long-term commitment to the communities of Hermantown and Duluth. Their purchase of Chevrolet in 2011 reaffirmed this commitment.

When Kolar purchased these manufacturers in 2011, sales were $14,887,357 with 43 employees on the team. The years following the purchase have seen a dramatic increase in sales along with a heavy jump in employment. The first full year under the Kolar name, sales increased over 35%. The following year, Kolar’s first full year in their newly-built facility, sales sky-rocketed, seeing an increase of over 75%. During this time, Kolar Chevrolet Buick GMC increased their staff to 68, a massive jump of over 63%, creating jobs for the community.

The new Cadillac vehicles are available at the dealership at 4470 W Arrowhead Road in Hermantown.
