UPDATE: Duluth-Bound Lanes Of Blatnik Bridge Reopened After Being Closed Tuesday Night

UPDATE 1/30/19 06:00 am - The bridge is fully open once again in both directions.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation closed Duluth-bound lanes on the Blatnik Bridge Tuesday night due to winter weather. THEY HAVE SINCE BEEN REOPENED.

Slippery conditions and black ice are being reported on a number of area roadways, as extreme cold, windblown snow, and freezing moisture from vehicles, tires, and exhaust systems can combine to make for slippery pavement. Extra care should be taken while driving, and if you must travel during this extreme cold, be sure to have a winter survival kit with you in the event of engine issues.
