Duluth Actress Cast In New Paramount+ Show
If you need a new show to binge watch and want one with a fun Twin Ports connection, we have you covered. An actress from Duluth has been cast in a new television series starring Sarah Michelle Gellar.
The show is on Paramount+ and is called Wolf Pack. Based on the trailer for the show and some of the photos, this looks like a spooky one! The show will premiere on Thursday, January 26th.
So what is the show about? It is based off a book series of the same name. The show follows two teenagers, a boy and a girl, who come together when a wildfire "awakens a terrifying supernatural creature" in California. They meet two others and try to figure out what is going on.
Based on the title, it's pretty obvious that supernatural creature will be some type of werewolf. Duluthian Bailey Stender is on the cast and based on the trailer, it is going to be a big hit for the network!
Details about her part are mum for now but she was listed on the press release, which means she has to have a pretty sizable role! You can check out the trailer for the new show below - but only do so when the lights are on if you are easily afraid. Ha!
Bailey Stender shared her excitement about the show a few months back, when it was officially announced that she would be joining the cast. She also shared some photos from the red carpet on her social media pages, saying that she was super thankful for the experience.
The Duluthian may look familiar to you. She was in Duluth's Merry Kiss Cam movie that came out in November! The movie premiered on Hulu and seemed to be a fan favorite from what I have seen online. She had a supporting role in that film as well.
She has also been on the hit Nickelodeon show iCarly, where she gained quite a bit of fame. Her other starring roles include the television series Bunk'd and Murder In The Heartland. She's also been in music videos for Ariana Grande and Travis Scott.
This is one of many fun Northland connections in Hollywood lately. Recently, the CBS show Ghosts poked fun at Duluthians, calling us two-faced in a recent episode in their second season. Sigh.
