September means many things but one of the reasons I love it so much is because it means all of our favorite shows return to our television screens! It's been a long summer without them.

I am talking about the dramas we tune in for on weekday evenings. I am known for loving those formulaic procedurals that have been on forever and I wouldn't change a thing!

A newer show really broke through the mold last television season and it has a fun Minnesota connection! The show is called Doc and it premiered on FOX last year.

It earned rave reviews, which is unusual in a pretty saturated market and just returned for season two over the weekend. However, there was a little bit of a fail in the premiere episode.

'Doc' Has Major Connection To Minnesota - Here's Why

The show is all about the crew at a fictional hospital in Minneapolis! The show became the network's biggest debut in five years, which is pretty incredible. Overall, they do a pretty god job of representing Minnesota without all the stereotypes.

At one point, they even referenced the Electric Fetus, which is a former Duluth business. You can tell they put time into understanding the state rather than making everything up. Maybe they didn't want to make Minnesotans mad!

Season Two Premiere Has Big Minnesota Fail - Oops!

The season premiere aired on Sunday (September 14th) and whether on purpose or not, it had a little bit of a fail! Only Minnesotans would know about this but it still broke the fourth wall in a way, if you will.

The first episode kicks off strong and I won't give any spoilers but cops do show up and the cars are different than that of the real Minneapolis Police Department. I double checked to see if I was just making things up in my mind - but it's true!

The Minneapolis Police Department doesn't have 'Minneapolis' written on the side of their vehicles like in the show. However, their fake police cars are pretty close so they definitely get an A for effort!

I need to watch this show. It is right up my alley and I am excited for season two and what other Minnesota connections await.
