It was raining this weekend, so we decided to bring the kids to the movies.  I wanted to see Dunkirk, but that's not quite appropriate for a 9 year old and a 3 year old.  We settled on 'Despicable Me 3.'  I wasn't exactly thrilled about it, because I was worried the 4th movie featuring minions would be getting stale.  Somehow it didn't.

Gru loses his job fighting villany, and works hard to get it back by teaming up with his long lost twin brother Dru.  Steve Carrell does a great job voicing twin brothers, which has got to be difficult.  He's able to somehow make the two sound similar but not identical, and you forget that it's one voice actor in no time.

The Minions once again provide the most humorous moments, even though they quit on Gru during the movie.  This provides probably the character journey we've seen from the Minions in any Despicable Me movie.

Parents will enjoy the movie too, because Bratt, the antagonist in the movie, is a throwback to the 80's.  The soundtrack is great for the movie, and will have you and the kids dancing in your seats.
