DECC Athletic Hall of Fame Seeking Nominations For Class of 2019

The DECC Athletic Hall of Fame is looking for nominees for the Hall of Fame Class of 2019. Nominees must have gained national or international sports prominence as an athlete, coach, administrator, and have a connection with Northeastern Minnesota or Northwestern Wisconsin through birth, residence, or sports affiliation. People that fit into that criteria may be nominated by the January 31st deadline.

If you know someone who would be a good nominee, you should nominate them by sending a letter of recommendation, accompanied by their resume of accomplishments.

After receiving  the nominations, a committee will select the class of 2019. The committee also encourages people to nominate deceased individuals that fit the criteria.

Hall of fame members are displayed in Amsoil Arena with a photo and biography. Since 1968, there have been 68 members inducted.

The Class of 2019 Induction Ceremony will take place on Thursday May, 16th 2019 at the Decc's Horizon Room.
