During the Minnesota Vikings game Sunday against the Titans, impressive rookie Harrison Smith was ejected early for shoving an official during a heated moment in the game.  Smith admitted he got caught up in the moment and he was sorry.  He was also willing to accept an further punishment the league handed down.  It appears he's already paid his penalty.

According to StarTribune.com, the league will not fine Smith nor will they suspend him.  League officials feel his ejection was penalty enough.  While it was wrong to act with aggression towards an official in any way, replays do show that it wasn't so much a push as it was him trying to get the official out of his way to join the fray that was happening.

Either way it was wrong, he and coach Leslie Frazier have spoken about it, and it will hopefully be a learning moment for Harrison and the team.
