For the first time ever, the soundtrack for the movie Crazy Heart is being released on vinyl. The Boot has the exclusive details of the new release, which comes via New West Records, almost exactly eight years after the critically acclaimed film's debut, as well as the official premiere of a remastered music video for one of the record's tracks.

Crazy Heart: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is set for vinyl release on Dec. 15, 2017; the movie itself was originally released on Dec. 16, 2009. The deluxe double-LP features all 23 of the songs from the film, sequenced in their original running order, as well as a 12-page booklet of lyrics and photos.

Co-produced by T Bone Burnett -- who also co-produced the movie -- and Stephen Bruton, the Crazy Heart soundtrack includes, among others, the award-winning song "The Weary Kind," co-written and performed by Ryan Bingham. That track, which closes the vinyl edition of the soundtrack, won numerous accolades, including Best Original Song at the Academy Awards and Best Original Song -- Motion Picture at the Golden Globe Awards. Readers can press play below to watch the song's newly remastered music video.

Crazy Heart stars Jeff Bridges as Otis "Bad" Blake, a hard-living country music singer who begins a relationship with Jean (Maggie Gyllenhaal), a young journalist, and tries to turn his life around. Based on Thomas Cobb's 1987 novel of the same name, Crazy Heart also stars Colin Farrell and Robert Duvall, among others. Bridges' portrayal of Blake earned him wins at the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, SAG Awards and more.

The vinyl version of the Crazy Heart soundtrack is available for pre-order via PledgeMusic.
