Everyone has their favorite places to shop, and for good reasons. For me, it's because I know where to find everything, and I know exactly when they will be open and, most importantly, when they will be closed since I often find myself grabbing things at the last minute.

However, sometimes our favorite places throw us a curveball and unexpectedly close on a day when other similar businesses are open for business. That's exactly what will be happening soon with one of the most popular retail chains in the country.

The Fourth of July, or Independence Day, is a widely celebrated holiday in the United States, second only to Christmas in popularity.

Commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, marking the colonies' separation from British rule, research indicates that a large majority of Americans, around 87%, will once again be celebrating the holiday this year.

That means in Minnesota, nearly 5 million people will be celebrating with family and friends with things like cookouts, parades, fireworks, and more.
