Since this whole sexual abuse allegation fiasco began against Bill Cosby, a lot of us have been wondering what the people he worked with thought about all of this.  I particularly was interested in what Phylicia Rashad, who played Claire Huxtable, had to say about it all.  It turns out she's in Bill's corner and coming out swinging.

In an interview with showbiz411, she has said that she loves Bill, and that these women are orchestrating an attack to keep him off of television.

“Forget these women,” Rashad said. “What you’re seeing is the destruction of a legacy. And I think it’s orchestrated. I don’t know why or who’s doing it, but it’s the legacy. And it’s a legacy that is so important to the culture.”

She also says she doesn't want to become part of the debate, and she thinks he isn't speaking out because he is too proud to get into a fight.  Also she points out that even if Bill did say anything, it would probably be pointless.

“If he spoke now, what do you think the media would do with it?” Rashad asked. And let’s face it, she’s right about that.

I'll be honest that it does make me think twice about his guilt if so many of his close friends are coming out for his defense.  I really hope that at some point we will learn the truth, but that is seemingly more unlikely.
