As we get closer to Christmas it's important to remember that there are those in need that time of the year.  Maybe even more than in some previous years, as 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic has had a major impact on many financially.  One of the great joys of Christmas is seeing kids light up over the gifts under the tree.  It's supposed to be a happy time of the year and various organizations work hard to to help out and make sure that gifts are available to those in need.  If you are in need, or know a family that is, don't be afraid to ask for some help.

One such organization is the Salvation Army.  Through November 20th, they are taking applications for the Carlton County Christmas Adopt-A-Child Program.  You will need to register in person for the assistance as it's not available online.

It's open to all families that are residents of Carlton County and you will need to bring your child's social security card, birth certificate, or medical insurance card for verification in order to be considered for qualification.

Registration is mostly Monday through Friday from 1:00-4:00PM at 316 Carlton Avenue in Cloquet, MN.  You can get more information on times and dates and find out more about the registration process HERE.  If you have any further questions or concerns about qualifying you can also call the Cloquet Salvation Army at: 218-879-5447
