UPDATE: Up To 8″ Of Snow Possible Across Minnesota Thursday
UPDATE: The National Weather Service of Duluth has issued an update on this clipper and how much snow is expected.
According to their update, some places across the Northland could see up to eight inches of snow. The snow will be 'light and fluffy' with locally higher amounts around Lake Superior.
Duluth is looking at between 6 to 8 inches of snow. Get that shovel ready!
Let it snow! We have another round of potentially accumulating snow moving into the Duluth area later this week.
The National Weather Service of Duluth shared some details about the potential snow on social media Monday (December 16th).
They do acknowledge that things could change by the time this system moves in, which is often the case because of Lake Superior.
At the time of writing, a 'potent clipper system' has a pretty good chance of bringing snow totaling more than four inches for our neck of the woods.
Winter is definitely here! Duluth and Superior each has more than a fifty percent chance of seeing a couple inches of snow, and about a forty percent chance of seeing a bit more!

While this wouldn't be a massive snowstorm or anything, it could make your commutes a little bit tricky. We haven't had a major snowstorm just yet.
Midwest Weather also shared details about this clipper on social media on Sunday (December 15th). Their report states that things do shift with clippers and things can change by later this week.
Their report also states that 'several inches' of snow is possible for the Northland but that doesn't mean every area hit by the clipper will get snow. Like I said, we will have to wait and see how it shakes out.

All I know is I am glad we didn't have a massive Thanksgiving snowstorm. A white Christmas would be nice, though!
