Christian Bale And Wife Visit Aurora Colorado Memorials And Spend Time With Victims

According to Entertainment Weekly, The Dark Knight Rises star Christian Bale released the following statement on Saturday in regards to the Colorado shootings: “Words cannot express the horror that I feel. I cannot begin to truly understand the pain and grief of the victims and their loved ones, but my heart goes out to them.”  Soon after he did more than issue a statement, he boarded a plane with his wife and flew to Aurora, Colorado to see the vigils and meet with victims.

The word is that the actor spent about two-and-a-half hours at the Medical Center of Aurora where he met with victims and families.  I can only imagine the buzz around that hospital upon his arrival.  It has been a grim week and while a visit from an actor can't take back the events, it can brighten the spirits of the wounded and uplift a community in need of positive momentum.

What a great thing Christian Bale did and for all the right reasons.
