Controversial Policy Bars Children From Bringing Bagged Lunch to School Without Doctor’s Note [POLL]
A school in Richmond, Virginia has recently started enforcing a new rule that has parents up in arms. Following instructions laid out by the federal government, children are not allowed to bring their own bagged lunch to school without a note from a physician.
This note was posted earlier this month on www.my2crazycurls.com by the mother who received it. In light of the concern that some schools are serving GMOs (genetically modified organisms) in their lunch menus, parents are speaking out against this new policy. Many do not like the fact that the school has taken away or tampered with their control of their own child's diet.
What do you think? Would you be upset if your child's school started enforcing a rule like this? Take the poll and leave a comment with your thoughts and opinions.
