The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting census takers and has upped the pay for people taking the job.

These are temp jobs for the government but can lead to something nice for someone who wants a little extra money. If you do apply, you will be placed in a pool and hired as jobs become available. If hired you will work where you are most familiar with the area, so you will most likely work in your community. The website says there will be some door-to-door work in order to collect data, and some phone work as well.

Obviously some interviews will take place in order to figure out where you should be placed. According to the website, they offer flexible hours, paid training, and you will be paid weekly.

Those who apply will be placed in an applicant pool for 2020 Census positions for which they qualify, as jobs become available in their area. These positions offer competitive pay, flexible hours, paid training and weekly paychecks.
