New in Theatres
New Movie Releases — ‘The Darkest Hour’ and ‘War Horse’
Movie studios inundated us with releases last week, which meant some were bound to get lost in the shuffle — especially the two that bowed on Christmas Day. Let’s take another look at them to refresh our memories in case anyone is thinking about heading to one of the area Marcus Theatres for a New Year's weekend outing.
Weekend Box Office — ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’ Refuses to Be Ignored
With at least six movies opening in wide release on various days over the past week, it would’ve been easy for any film to get lost in the shuffle.

Weekend Box Office: ‘New Year’s Eve’ Toasts a First Place Finish
It took a movie with a zillion stars to do it, but ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ has finally been knocked off its perch at the top of the charts. Despite blistering reviews, ‘New Year’s Eve’ brought in $13.7 million in its debut, making it the most popular movie at the box office this weekend.
New Movie Releases — ‘New Year’s Eve’ and ‘The Sitter’

But if you need to get your popcorn freak on now, here’s what’s premiering this week.
Weekend Box Office: ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1′ Fights Off Competitors to Stay in First Place

New Movie Releases: ‘Arthur Christmas,’ ‘Hugo’ and ‘The Muppets’

Here's what is hitting our local Marcus Theatres this holiday weekend.
