People my age have unfortunately grown up most of our lives with mass shootings in school since we were ourselves in school.  I remember Columbine well.  I was a high school student at the time.  That was very unsettling.  However, after this last shooting in Newtown, Conneticut, I have never felt so much pain associated with a shooting.

You go out with the girls, have a nice time and a nice dinner, and then the bill comes.  Normally if you have an issue with the bill it's because you may have been charged for something you didn't order or something of that nature.  You'll never guess what was on the bill these women received.

We know the what happened to Anna Nicole Smith.  She started as a Guess model, became a Playboy model, surrounded herself with people who may not have had her best interests at heart, and she died very young in the Bahamas.  Now, at 6 years of age, Danni Lynn Smith is a Guess model.  Hopefully she is surrounded by people looking out for her and this is not the first step onto the wrong path. It's a HUGE powerball jackpot now at a record 500 million dollars.  What would you do if you won?  Would you still keep your current job, or would you quit it like a bad habit?  Cathy and I have different views.

The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday has soared to about $500 million, which is obviously an amount that will only further ticket sales.  Nobody has won the Powerball since October, but there's another reason the jackpot has hit legendary status.

Today is election day and while the presidency has been the most popular debate, there are plenty of things on the ballot that will probably have greater immediate impact for those in the Northland.

Meteorologists are calling this things like "Frankenstorm" as Hurricane Sandy approaches the east coast of the United States.  The storm that has already claimed nearly two dozen lives in the Caribbean churned Friday near the northern Bahamas and it's expected to hit the states as early as Monday.  This storm could merge with a cold front from the west and rival the "Perfect Storm&q

Three people are dead and four others injured today after a mass shooting at a spa in Brookfield, Wis., a suburb of Milwaukee. The man police suspect in the shooting has also been found dead, according to a county dispatcher in Wisconsin.

Since being stripped of his titles and being accused of using illegal performance enhancing substances,  Lance Armstrong has publicly been pretty quiet.  He recently challenged the U.S. anti-doping agency to provide what evidence they had.  Perhaps Armstrong should be careful what he wishes for.

We now know more about the shooting that took place yesterday afternoon at a Minneapolis Workplace.  Sadly, the number of deaths has risen to 5 people including the gunman.  The incident happened at Accent Signage Systems inc.
