Carrie Underwood Wins Favorite Country Album at 2012 American Music Awards
Carrie Underwood picked up the 2012 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album for 'Blown Away' on Sunday (Nov. 18) during a televised live broadcast. The win marked Underwood's seventh AMA of her career, and the fourth time she has won this particular award. Know what that means? Every single one of Underwood's records have been named Favorite Country Album at the AMAs. That's quite an impressive stat, isn't it?
The superstar, who had just performed 'Two Black Cadillacs' on the broadcast, took the stage in a shimmery, metallic blue dress to accept her latest American Music Award.
"I am very proud of this album," she said about why this particular award was so important to her. "I want to thank God for giving me the love of music and inspiration to make this album, and for giving me the best fans."
Underwood also thanked all the country radio stations for playing her music, and sent her love out to hockey hubby Mike Fisher from the stage. She seemed genuinely "blown away" that she won this latest AMA, though it was no surprise to country fans.
Congrats to Carrie Underwood for picking up her fourth Favorite Country Album American Music Award. Forget what they say about the third time being the charm -- the fourth is equally as charming. Just ask Carrie!
