Best Valentines Date Ever Is Back At Lake Superior Zoo

It's back and better than ever, but hurry many of the tours are sold out already. The Lake Superior Zoo presents "The Best Date Ever" February 12-14. These are exclusive behind the scenes tours that will give you and your significant other a once in a lifetime experience.

You’ll go behind-the-scenes and meet some of the zoo animals, tour the Animal Care Center or new Bear Country area! Bring that special someone or make it a "Galentine’s" date – either way you’re going to have a WILD time! Tours are for 18+ only.

The tours are selling fast and only 2 spots are left for the Bear Country Building Tour on Saturday February 13. But the two other exhibit tours are wide open Friday-Through Sunday:

Animal Care Center – 10 to 11 a.m.

• Check out where our animals receive routine physicals, X-rays, and much more! (no animals behind-the-scenes)

Barnyard – 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Meet the whole barn crew and learn more from a zookeeper about how we care for our hoof stock friends!

Also some special treats will be available at the zoo to celebrate the Holiday in style. Hot chocolate – $3/each, Sweet treats to go – $5/each and Wild at Heart exhibit heart for your favorite animal – $5/each. Each of the tours is 30 minutes in length and proceeds will help go towards care for the animals at the zoo.
