Simon and Garfunkel are coming to the DECC Symphony Hall on November 10th, well, another version of them. Playing all of your favorite songs by the duo and some deep cuts of material for the biggest of fans.

A story is told about the two and their career and the time that their music played a part in our society. I talked to Taylor Bloom (who plays Paul Simon) about how the show is presented. He said the music, some video footage, and he and Ben (Art Garfunkel) tell the story.

It's a multi-media show mixed with the music of Simon and Garfunkel. The show chronicles the history and music of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, It features music from the 1960s, and into their tumultuous partnership up to 1970.

When I talked to Taylor he mentioned that they try to make it so that even the biggest Simon and Garfunkel fan can close their eyes and imagine being there. He said they have spent a lot of time learning their personalities and the little things to have the essence of the group.

I asked Taylor Bloom if Paul Simon or Art Garfunkel have come to see the show, he said that they heard a rumor that Paul Simon snuck in and out and gave it a thumbs up, but Taylor doesn't believe that because he would like to think that Paul Simon would have come backstage to talk with everyone. Taylor is always asked if he has ever met Paul Simon away from the show, and unfortunately, he has not.

Taylor Bloom said the show is very intimate, there is not a lot of production to it, just a lot of Simon and Garfunkel music to enjoy. Bloom says it is like a little mini-concert. Taylor says he has been doing this for 4 years and has never grown tired of doing it.

There are still some tickets left to the show, you can go to the DECC box office or on the Ticketmaster website for the DECC show.
