They say all good things must come to an end, and that is the case for winter outdoor enthusiasts utilizing the Bayfront Family Center Warming House.

The City of Duluth has announced that the Bayfront Family Center Warming House is closed for the season.  However, it was a great run as this is the first time in 5 years the warming house and rink have been able to stay open into the month of March.

It appears that a cold January made the extended season possible, so we can thank Mother Nature for that.

Remember, every winter the Bayfront Family Center Warming House offers outdoor skating, free use of equipment and customer service from Parks and Recreation staff. Equipment is also available to borrow for those who need it.

The good news is that this means the seasons are certainly changing.  Further proof lies in the fact that Daylight Saving Time happens this weekend.  Remember to set those clocks ahead before you go to bed Saturday and enjoy the longer days.
