Bayfront Festival Park will host a fun new event this summer that combines craft beers, ciders and brats!  Even better, proceeds benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Bayfront Bratfest makes its debut Saturday, June 29.  The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. and admission is free.  Samples of the brats along with local beers, ciders and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

Samples will be available for just $1.50 each (one-third of a brat) or buy the $15 Sample Pack which includes 6 samples and a pint of your favorite local craft beer or cider.

Proceeds from those purchases will benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, a charity near and dear to our hearts as it fights every day to keep kids cancer free.  The protocols developed at St. Jude are used to save kids around the world, including right here in the Northland.

Bayfront Bratfest is produced by Twin Ports Entertainment LLC, who say the event will combine great local craft beer and ciders with select ingredients to create unique & delicious brats.

According to their press release:

Attendees will be able to sample between 12-16 different brats and vote for a Grand Prize winner.  For example: The Lake Superior Brewing Sasquatch Bock Brat will combine their award winning Split Rock Bock with fresh pork, bacon, wild rice & pepper jack cheese for an incredible taste sensation.

Other breweries/cideries who will be participating in Bratfest include: Hoops Brewing, Moose Lake Brewing, Castle Danger Brewing, Wild State Cider, and Blacklist Brewing.  Even more are expected to be added before the event begins.
