The Bayfield County Department of Health posted an update late on Sunday, July 13 that they have an additional COVID-19 confirmed case. They elaborate further that they are currently monitoring 147 people who are waiting for their test results.

Some of these people are symptomatic and haven't got their test results back. Others may have been in close contact with a confirmed case. Some of the 147 are suspect after traveling from a high risk area.

Last week nearby Ashland County had reported that 13 cases of COVID-19 had been linked to a hockey tournament. According to WDIO, that tournament consisted of eight teams from three different states.

In Douglas County, the number of cases is currently at 60. Wisconsin is reporting 39,901 confirmed cases in the state with 828 deaths. Across the border in St. Louis County, Minnesota there are 235 confirmed cases. Statewide in Minnesota there are 42,319 cases confirmed, with 1,540 deaths.
