A troubling story is unfolding this week regarding a missing man in Fredenburg Township in Duluth.

The St Louis County Sheriff's Office/Rescue Squad and The Fredenberg Volunteer Fire Department first reached out to the public for help on November 12 and they then provided an update on how the community can help.

St. Louis County Sheriff's Office Reaches Out To The Public For Help

On November 12, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office first posted on Facebook that they were searching for 62-year-old Marc Curran, a resident who had not been seen or heard from since approximately 4:30 PM on Monday, November 11.

According to authorities, Marc Curran left his home near the Bear Island Road area and he is not believed to be in a vehicle. Curran does not have a cell phone on him and unfortunately, his clothing description is unknown.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office would like to check on the welfare of Curran. If anyone has any information as to his whereabouts, they are encouraged to call 911.

UPDATE ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 13

On Wednesday, November 13, the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office Rescue Squad posted a tragic update to this story. After searching with trained teams, drones, and K9 teams, authorities announced that Marc Curran had been found deceased.

They added that no foul play was suspected and the cause of death would be determined after an autopsy was completed.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office also sent condolences to all of Mr. Curran's family and friends and thanked everyone who offered assistance.
