For the fourth consecutive year, the Minnesota Vikings have an NFC Defensive Player Of The Week following the season opener.  This year, Anthony Harris has the honor.

According to Vikings.com, the NFL awarded Harris after his terrific game against the Atlanta Falcons, where he intercepted two Matt Ryan passes.  Both of those interceptions led to touchdowns by the Vikings.  He also recovered his third-career fumble in the second quarter, which resulted in another scoring drive by Minnesota.  Overall, Minnesota scored 21 points off Anthony Harris takeaways, who added five tackles (three solo) for good measure.

Harris’ four interceptions since Week 11 of the 2018 season are tied for most in the NFL while his two interceptions to start 2019 are tops in the league.

The Vikings won their opener 28-12 and now they travel to Lambeau Field to battle their archrival, the Green Bay Packers, in what should be another great game.  Last year, their showdown in Green Bay ended in a tie.
