UPDATE: 10:43 AM

KSTP-TV in the Twin Cities is reporting that the two young children that were reported abducted this morning have been located and authorities have taken Jeffrey Lo into custody after his involvement in a domestic assault and abduction of two children in the Cottage Grove area Friday morning.

At about 6:34 Friday morning, Lo was involved in a domestic assault with the mother of his children, after which he left the scene with their two young children in her minivan. The woman's brother told KSTP that Lo hit the woman with the butt of a gun and left with the children in the van that was described in the AMBER Alert issued Friday morning.

The woman is in the hospital, but her condition is unknown at this time.

This is not the first incident between Lo and the woman. At least two other incidents of physical assault or threats have occurred in the last year.

Original Story 9:05 am

An AMBER Alert has been issued after two children were reported abducted in the Twin Cities area. The two children are a 1 year old girl and 3 year old girl. Neither of their names are known. They are both described as Asian, however there is no other information about a description of the children or what they were wearing at the time.

The children were reportedly taken by their father, Jeffrey Lo (pictured above). Lo is a 24 year-old 5 foot, 5 inch tall, 180 pound man with dark hair. A police report says that at about 6:34 am, Lo assaulted the mother of his two children and left the scene with the children in the mother's minivan. The van is a tan 2004 Toyota Sienna with Minnesota license plate number 708XEM.

WCCO is reporting that police say Lo is armed, and should not be approached.

Anyone with information or who sees Lo or the vehicle are encouraged to call 911 immediately.
