Aldi Formally Files Plans For Duluth Store

It's been know for awhile that Aldi, the discount supermarket chain, was looking to put a location in Duluth, especially since recently opened location in Superior is doing so well.  Now, Aldi has filed plans for what will be their newest Northland location.

According to CDINDuluth, Aldi has filed their plans with the City of Duluth's planning commission for an 18,553 square foot freestanding location at the corner of Mall Drive and Mountain Shadow drive, a spot which is is currently a parking lot in front of Hobby Lobby and Savers.

If all things to plan, the new location is expected to open next spring.
