Eleven students aboard a school bus in Aitkin County held on for a scary ride Wednesday as the driver of the bus suffered a medical emergency. The bus swerved wildly at between 35 and 40 miles per hour as it traveled northbound on Highway 47 after leaving the school in Isle.

An Aitkin County Sheriff's Deputy noticed the swerving and followed the bus as it continued to weave for about 14 minutes. The bus traveled back and forth between both lanes of traffic and even went into the ditch at one point. A Minnesota State Trooper intervened, deploying a tire deflation device to slow the bus down. None of the students aboard the bus were injured, and the driver was treated and released at a local hospital.
