Nine ‘90s Country Stars Who Need to Come Back Now!
Look, they're bringing Roseanne back for goodness' sake! The least we could get is another song from David Lee Murphy.
The '90s are suddenly new again and that's left us yearning for a reboot of some of our favorite artists' careers. Some, like Tim McGraw, Faith Hill and Vince Gill, never really went away. But when was the last time you heard a new Travis Tritt or Sammy Kershaw song on the radio?
Jamie O'Neal, Deana Carter and SheDaisy — you remember SheDaisy, right? — are three more we're hoping can break through on this wave of retro goodness. TV shows like Twin Peaks and Full House have returned and you're saying we can't get a Part 2 to Aaron Tippin's commercial career?
You Think You Know '90s Country?
Bigger names like the Dixie Chicks would be nice to see on our radio interfaces. Brooks & Dunn are kind of on-again, off-again. It's strange. Even Ross and Rachel think the two men should just make it official already.
2017 does mean a return for one of the '90s biggest hitmakers. Shania Twain is set to return to the radio with "Life's About to Get Good" in June. Garth Brooks has made comebacks a habit and his most recent reboot has meant radio success and astounding touring success. The audience is there to make everything old new again. Heck, we even made a hit out of a song about Joe Diffie, or as the youngsters call him, "that guy Jason Aldean sings about."
Tell us which '90s country star you'd like to see return in the comments section below. If there's a favorite '90s song we wanna know that too!
