8 Bad Online Reviews Of Duluth’s Leif Erickson Park
Leif Erickson Park is such a huge part of Duluth. From tourists to locals, it is a big destination in town. Being such a popular place, I had to see how people are reviewing the area on TripAdvisor. While many love the destination, some people have not-so-positive opinions.
I grew up in Duluth and to this day, I still enjoy taking walks through the park. Some days I'll take just the kids, and others we'll bring the dogs for a nice stroll.
Regardless of the weather, there is always a lot of people in the area. While scoping through all the reviews, there was quite a few typos - so heads up for that. Despite that, I was very curious to see what people had to say. Most of the reviews were pretty good, but there was definitely some negative feedback. Here are some of the worst reviews I found for the area:
8 Bad Reviews Of Duluth's Leif Erickson Park
May have been great a year ago but not worth the time
"Didn't see many flowers. All the gardens are full of weeds. Views of the water were nice but wouldn't recommend a visit if seeing flowers is what your looking for."
Retirement Get Away
"Not as impressive as my last visit. The gardens could use some weeding. Not as well maintained as in the past."
Kind of a lot of Roses...
"It was cool, for like the 1st 10 minutes... my kids were impatient, and it was a waste of our time... Maybe a VERY interested gardener would enjoy it, but my daughter and i thought it was a waste."
Average park near busy street
"There are some neat views here, but there are some other areas with more breathtaking views. We did enjoy the natural beauty of the place. There was a bit of architecture to look at but perhaps its a better place to visit when the roses are in full bloom. Later in the year it was nothing special."
Pretty Small Garden
"We didn't think the garden was very interesting. A nice view of the lake and railroad, but not much to look at."
Extremely Small and Boring
"Pretty for a garden -- but nothing to go out of your way to see. If your walking down the lakewalk it doesn't hurt to take a stop in the garden (it's on the way). Otherwise, it's fairly boring and small. It would take 5 minutes to see the whole thing."
ok, but roses are gone
"The park was pretty and had nice views. The viking ship is kind of dumpy and not really finished. Since it is fall, the roses are gone so it wasn't nearly as pretty as it could be. We did get to see the train pass under us when we were on the bridge. Nice area to get down to the shore and climb around and play."
Cute but nothing to go out of your way for
"I like the Leif Erickson statue. I'm guessing this park is much better on a day when it isn't drizzling and cold."
