This morning on the Breakfast Club, Cathy and I were trying to figure out which country song is the catchiest. We had listeners call in and also answer our question on facebook. In order for it to be a "cathy" song, it has to be a song that everyone knows, and something you can tap your toe to. Basically if it gets stuck in your head, it's a catchy tune. After a while, we could narrow down the list to 6 "catchy" songs. Here they are!

Sugarland's "All I Want To Do"

I can definitely tell you that this song is catchy. A lot of people called in and said they get this song stuck in their head all of the time. Like it or not, you have to admit that it does get stuck in your head. Sometimes for a while!

Billy Ray Cyrus "Achy Breaky Heart"

Once again, this isn't a list of favorite songs. Achy Breaky Heart was a phenomenal hit, but got old really quick. It was the catchiest song back in 1993. Also, it brought the mullet to world wide fame. Sadly, there was quite a backlash from the song and Billy Ray Cyrus's career sputtered for a bit. I'll be honest, Billy Ray Cyrus is one hell of a singer and has had some great songs.

    Alan Jackson's "Chattahoochee"

Wow, never new Alan Jackson was a water ski expert. Does pretty good doesn't he? Anyway, Chattahoochee is one of Alan's most played songs because everyone knows the words. It's a fun ditty that definitely belongs on this list.

    Billy Currington's "Love Done Gone"

A lot of people called this song in and said it was the catchiest song they've ever heard. I'm not sure if it will stand the test of time, but I can positively tell you it is a catchy tune. Even my 3 year old will sing this as he's walking around the house. Well, at least he sings the "ba dada, ba da da" part.

Garth Brooks "Friends In Low Places"

This song is best sang with a beer in hand. I can't tell you how many times I've been in a country bar and this song has come on, and every drunken idiot starts singing along. That of course includes me. What a great song that comes in number 2 on our list.

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's "Fishin' In The Dark"

I don't care who you are, you know this song. Even people that don't listen to country music know this song and start singing along. It is by far the catchiest country song of all time! You can't help but crank the radio when you hear that opening guitar riff.
