It's Garth Brooks week in Minnesota as Garth prepares to take over U.S. Bank Stadium Friday, May 3 and Saturday May 4.  If you're going, having these 5 things will help you have the best time.

CASH FOR BEER
While your bank check card or credit card will allow you to buy just about anything at U.S. Bank Stadium, having cash can help you stay out of the longest lines for beer.  With cash in hand, you can generally bypass the long concession stand lines and walk right up to a friendly concourse vendor selling beer out of a iced cooler.

You may not get the exact kind of beer you want, but any beer that didn't make you wait for what feels like forever to get sounds like a good beer to me.

COMFORTABLE SHOES
I know, I know.  You want to be in full Garth Concert Gear, complete with those amazing cowboy boots (they do look fantastic).  However, you'll likely be doing a lot of walking downtown Minneapolis leading up to the show, followed by a lot of standing and walking inside U.S. Bank Stadium, and then even more walking when it's over.  Go all out from the knees up, but when it comes to your footwear, go for comfort and a blister-free night.

A LESS IS MORE MENTALITY
Plan on a good deal of security as you enter U.S. Bank Stadium.  Keep in mind that for the show, there will be a strict bag policy enforced. The only bags that will be allowed are clear plastic bags no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" and small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5", and plan on having them searched.

Bottom line, don't bring a bag at all and you'll move more efficiently through security.  If you must bring a bag, you must follow the bag policy or you will not be admitted into the show, there are no exceptions.

A MEETING SPOT FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS
It's going to be a fun experience, but it's also a long day with thousands of other Garth fans.  During the whole experience, your cell phone could go dead or lose reception or you could get separated from someone you arrived with for various reasons.  Whether you're with a group of people or just one, have a planned place to meet after the show.  That way you don't need to stress about it losing track of someone.  It could be a landmark just outside the stadium, like the big Viking ship, or the entrance to the bar you're hitting next.

A DRAMA-FREE, JUST WANNA HAVE FUN ATTITUDE
Ultimately, the mission of any Garth Brooks show is simple:  Have fun.  That's certainly easy to do as you'll likely be singing along with every song.  Garth concerts are trip down memory lane with an artist filled with sincere passion for the music and his fans.  Enjoy it!
