5 Must Do Things At This Year’s Arrowhead Ice Fishing Show
The Arrowhead Ice Fishing and Winter Show is coming back to the DECC once again this year. It takes place December 7-9, and I'm sure I'll be attending again this year. Over the last few years I've bought a lot of my ice fishing equipment, or at the very least it's given me some Christmas gift ideas. This year looks like a pretty great line up of events.

Life Size Snow Globe Picture
Yes, they'll have the life size snow globe back on display. If you've been there in years past, it's now a tradition to crawl into the globe and get your picture taken. Whether you're there with family or with friends, it will be a cherished picture for your ice shack.

Visit With Bering Sea Gold's Shawn Pomrenke
Shawn "Mr. Gold" Pomrenke will be on hand to visit with guests. You'll recognize him from the popular Bering Sea Gold show on Discovery Channel, where he's been a main character over the years.

Get Deals On Fishing Gear
I've bought a lot of items here in the past from vendors because they always offer show discounts. They don't want to have to lug the merchandise back, so you can usually get a pretty sweet deal! I've bought an Eskimo Pop up House before, too because I saved about 50 bucks on it. I've also had a friend buy a brand new ION auger with a hefty discount as well.

Fish In The Frozen Basin
Actual fishing indoors at the DECC is possible with the Frozen Basin. You can fish through one of the 8 holes and use the underwater cameras to aid in your catch! There's chances to win some big prizes, and they guarantee three winners every round if the fish don't bite by spinning a wheel. We all know how frustrating it can be when they aren't biting, so at least this gives you a chance.

Bring The Kids To Feed The Animals
If you have younger anglers in tow with you to the show, they'll love the chance to feed the animals exhibit. The exhibit will run the entire time during the show, and it's free with admission. If you have kids 12 and under admission is free to the show too, so this is a great chance to bring the whole family and save some money.
