UWS and Bong Veterans Historical Center are teaming up again for the 3rd Annual Camp Bong.  It's a sleepover experience for youth that offers a variety of learning experiences and visit areas usually off limits to the public.  It's been a very popular event in the last few years, so they've separated it to two events.

The first will be for students in grades 1-3 on March 23rd.  The next will be for grades 4-6 on April 13th.

Both of the events will start with pizza and a chance to visit with veterans about their experiences.   Scavenger hunts around the building will take place, along with a photo opportunity inside the cockpit of the P-38 Lightning.  They also get to learn about parachutes and make their own parachute to test out.

As long as weather cooperates, there will be a chance to get an up close tour of the M60 Tank that is adjacent to the building.

In the morning, campers get breakfast and more behind the scenes tours.

The cost is $35 for the first camper, and $25 for additional campers, and they must be accompanied by an adult.  There is no charge for the adult.  Each camper gets a t-shirt and a customized dog tag.
