15 Tons Of Ground Beef Recalled Due to Possible Foreign Matter Contamination
Washington Beef, LLC has issued a nationwide recall of 15 tons of ground beef chubs due to possible foreign matter contamination.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that the ground beef chubs may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically hard plastic and metal.
The products being recalled include:
- Double R Ranch 100% Ground Beef
- St. Helens 100% Ground Beef
- SRF American Wagyu Beef Fine Ground Beef
- Boneless Ground Chuck Blend Smoked
According to the press release, the ground beef chubs were produced on Dec. 27, 2018 and include a “Use or Freeze by” date of 01/20/19. The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 235” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
