Will April showers bring May flowers? Only time will tell but if the Old Farmer's Almanac is right this time around, they just might.

Every month, they release a simple, straight-forward forecast. They forecast by region, with ours including most of Minnesota and Wisconsin, parts of North and South Dakota and Michigan.

Whether you believe in their models or not, you can't help but be a little bit curious about what they have to say.

According to the Old Farmer's Almanac, from April 1 to 8th, we will see snow showers and periods of cold.

From April 9th through the 14th, snow will turn to rain as we see warming conditions.

April 15th through the 21st, things will dry up a bit with sunshine and cool temperatures.

The following day, from April 22nd through the 26th, rain and snow will return with showers on and off and cool conditions.

Rain and snow will finally turn to rain with periods of precipitation from the 27th to the 30th.

If you believe what the Almanac is predicting, it shouldn't be too brutal of a month. We won't get a completely clean break from the snow but it looks like rain will dominate and we'll be free from any major winter storms.

More good news: we will see an average temperature cracking the 40's.

If the forecast ends up being wrong, let's hope they can own it like this Duluth meteorologist did!
