Brett Young is having a really good year. He recently popped the question to his longtime love and was named the ACM New Male Vocalist Of The Year. As if that wasn't enough, he even got to talk to the one and only Reba McEntire on the phone when she broke the news of his big win.

We think his big year is going to get even bigger now that this song has officially hit the airwaves. While he's no stranger to simple ballads (see: 'In Case You Didn't Know') this one really stands out.

Behind simple piano production, Young begs an old love to take mercy on him as he navigates the painful breakup. It is unlike anything he has released before and stands on its own on his great, self-titled debut album.

In fact, late last year, I dubbed this song one of the best unreleased songs of the year. I guess I was on to something because fast forward a few months and it has officially been named his fourth single.

This song proves Young deserved that ACM win. Watch him perform an acoustic version of the heartbreaking tune above.
