If you're looking for something fun and educational to do with your family, make plans to be at the University of Wisconsin-Superior Saturday, April14, for Science Fest, presented by UW-Superior Students of Science.

Science Fest, which is free to attend, runs from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in Barstow Hall, located at 816 N. 17th Street, and Swenson Hall, at 1610 Weeks Avenue.

Organizers say that together, children and adults will have the opportunity to explore the marvels of chemistry, biology, physics, geology, zoology, and astronomy.

Science Fest events in the past have attracted hundreds of people, making it the largest student-organized event of the year.

Participants for this year include Northwood’s Women in Science, City of Superior Environmental Services Division of Public Works, Brule Fish Hatchery, Jay Cooke State Park, Superior Animal Hospital, T&J Farms, Enbridge, IDA Dark Sky Duluth, and the Superior Police Department.

UW-Superior representatives include the Lake Superior Research Institute, Natural Sciences Department, and the Music Department.
