PREVIOUSLY: Weather reports from Adam Lorch this morning mentioned that we could experience strong storms tonight and into tomorrow.  Some could contain hail, heavy rains and very windy conditions.  He says the storms are likely to stay to the South of the Twin Ports but doesn't say how far.  Just in case I thought I would share this information I received from the Cloquet Police Department  about a malfunctioning warning siren.

While they were running a test of the warning sirens today it was determined that the early warning siren at the old water tower site was not functioning. DSC Communications has been called and they are expected to look at it by Friday.

UPDATE:

The Cloquet Police reports that the problem of the faulty warning siren was discovered. The culprit was a blown fuse/breaker on the electronic board for the siren. After replacing the part, the siren is fully functional again.

As always, they will continue to monitor all the sirens in town on the first Wednesday of every month at 1 PM to ensure functionality.
